Driving etiquette please!

I have this little rule. Be nice on the road. We’ve all got somewhere to be, none of us like to be sitting in traffic for goodness knows how long. The fact is, most of the time we have to be in our car trying to get to the next place, we don’t want to be. So why is everyone so rude?!?
If I see a car trying desperately to get into my lane, I let them in. Who knows, maybe they need to get to their family or a meeting.
So do me a favor, after every car before me ignored you and didn't let you into the lane that I just did - wave a little thank you, will ya?
After all, I have somewhere to be too!
