Pumpkin Rolls for 200, please.

Posted by Tabitha

For Thanksgiving 2008 Yvette and I did our usual bake fest of 4 or 5 pumpkin rolls each. This tradition began in the year 2000 and continued until last year when I finally graduated on my own. To my credit, I was probably capable of making them before that; however Yvette and wine always made it better. Anyhow, back to 2008. I proudly took my Pumpkin Rolls home and was sure to keep one roll at home for my roommates at the time. My roommate Yesenia loved them. This love was then multiplied when her boyfriend Zack tried one. He said they were his all time favorite dessert.

Music to my inner domestic goddess ears.

Flash forward six months and Zack and Yesenia proudly announce their engagement. (ahh…Love.) Their nuptials were to take place in October 2010 and I was asked to make Pumpkin Rolls for their wedding. Now, I won’t lie-October 2010 seemed like a ways away considering we were in July 2009. On top of that, I thought it was just a fleeting thought for Yesenia and Zack. So, you can imagine my surprise when September 2010 rolled around and Yesenia asked if I was still able to make Pumpkin Rolls for her 200 guests.

Say What? 200 Guests?

Really? My Pumpkin Rolls are that good? Hmmm, flattering.

Sweetfully yours,
Tabitha
